Between the Eastern shores of the Black sea and the Western shores of the Caspian Sea are found several countries. This area is the TransCaucusus. The countries in this area include Russia, Georgia, Dagestan, Armenia, Turky. Major cities on the Caspian include Astrakhan at the Northwest, and Derbend at the Southwest. Just to the South of the Caspian, but in Persia, can be found the major trading city of Tabriz. To the East of the Eastern Caspian shores is Bactria, so well known for the Bactrian two-humped Camel. Without the Bactrian Camel, crossing the desert. It has been said that the Bactrian Camel is necessary to survive violent sandstorms on the deserts:

"The Camel caravan drivers wear felt that can qickly be drawn to cover the face. Violent sandstorms can sudenly appear without warning. The sand blows so violently that riders on Camels can be suddenly smothered - sand impacted in one's mouth, nostrils, eyes, and ears.

However, the Bactrian Camel can sense the arrival of such violent sandstorms. When the Bactrian Camel puts its muzzel into the sand, one has from ten to fifteen seconds to save your life! The experienced Camel drivers quickly pull their felt masks over their eyes, nose and mouth and ears, bending their heads down. When the sandstorm shorthy arrives, they survive. Those that don't follow directions are buried beside the Silk Trade Route.
